Keen Bank Partners with Community Pathways for Community Impact Month

September 29, 2025 (Waseca, MN) — September is Minnesota Bankers Community Impact Month and Keen Bank is excited to support Community Pathways. Nine bank officers spent Thursday afternoon volunteering at Community Pathways’ food pantry and thrift store to serve the needs of the community. In addition, Keen Bank in Ellendale hosted a blood drive last month in support of the 10th Annual Community Impact Month’s initiative of hosting or supporting blood drives to help boost the blood supply in our communities.

“We are thrilled to partner with Community Pathways and help them serve the needs of the Owatonna and surrounding communities,” said Bernie Gaytko, President & CEO of Keen Bank. “Our leadership, board of directors and staff believe that sharing our time, talent and resources with our communities to make an impact is not only a priority but a responsibility. It strengthens our communities and we are proud to join with bankers across the state to volunteer our time for some impactful organizations.”

In 2025, 83 banks, totaling over 400 branches with hundreds of passionate bank employees are joining forces to give back to 284 Minnesota communities. Community Impact Month was launched by the Minnesota Bankers Association (MBA) in 2016. During the month participating MBA member banks engage employees in volunteer service activities, highlighting the vital role that banks play in their communities.
